Make Music Day, which was launched in France in 1982, is now celebrated in thousands of cities and towns in the U.S.A. and around the world on June 21 each year. It is open to amateur and professional musicians of all ages, encouraging everyone to share their music with friends, neighbors and strangers. This amazing event inspired our weeklong celebration.

This Oceans Day, Dan, Dan the Music Man has put together a beach bag full of songs and stories about that special place where the sand meets the sea. In this mesmerizing, one of a kind performance, we’ll journey into the lives of aquatic creatures native to the Long Island Sound as specially crafted puppets—made from reclaimed and upcycled materials sourced from local beaches— drift gracefully through an aquarium theater. Featuring live puppetry projected onto our larger than life Multimedia Gallery screen and set to ethereal music created by NYC photographer and composer J.T. McCann, get ready for a unique display that will have the whole family captivated.
